Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

When the ulnar nerve at the elbow gets squeezed, causing numbness and tingling on the pinky side of the hand.

What is it?

This is when the ulnar nerve in your elbow gets squeezed. This often causes numbness and tingling on the pinky side of your hand. It is more common in men and people who are older.

Let’s talk about it

Have you ever hit your “funny bone” and felt a shock go down your arm? That’s the ulnar nerve. If that nerve gets squeezed in your elbow for a long time, it can cause a constant tingling feeling in your hand.

Treatment options

Treatment includes changing how you sleep to avoid bending your elbow too much, like by holding a pillow. You can also use a special splint at night and do exercises to help your ulnar nerve glide and strengthen your hand muscles.
